Self Awareness
Since my sister is spending the summer in Europe, I've had the use of her car for the past couple of months.
We've been trying to take advantage of the wheels by taking trips most weekends this summer.
Since it's stick shift, and the Husband can't drive it, I've been doing all of the driving.
I've come to a horrible realization.
I'm a scary driver!
I'm not bad. I just get stressed out when I drive. So I curse a lot. And I grip the steering wheel tightly and sit really close to it.
I'm your average Asian woman driver who crawls along like an old woman.
And I ask my passengers to help me merge and change lanes. And I criticize the other drivers on the road.
Yeah, I can see why driving in my car can be a harrowing experience.
It's good to be self aware.

Now that you know, it's time to change. Self-awareness is half the journey. :)
NB: Advise is given by someone who didn't drive for over 11 years until recently.
LOL! The scariest tourists that come through the Navajo reservation in AZ, NM & UT are Asians. They rarely ever pull off the road to take their photos. They park in the middle of the driving lane. Scary! Just don't be one of "them". :)
You need to teach your hubby how to drive stick. That's one of the things I taught my husband (then bf) when I got my manual transmission car. :)
It's okay. I'm a scary driver too. Mostly because I just like to go so I run stop lights occasionally and brake hard and cut people off if they're too slow. I can't help it. I try to be good.
I drive the same exact way. I'm not Asian, but I was born there. I guess that 'splains it...
