Poker? I Hardly Know Her
What a month February has been. I got some sort of flu and was laid out for almost a week. Still catching up.
The good news is that during my down time, the Husband taught me how to play poker.
Texas Hold 'Em, to be exact.
I think he's created a monster.
Unlike in my work and personal life (in which I'm extremely conservative and risk-averse), I'm apparently a high-risk, live-on-the-edge poker player.
I bet on every hand. I never fold. I throw those chips into the pool like they're candies.
I get all excited, even when I have nothing valuable in my hand. I raise the bet all of the time.
As a result, my opponents get really confused. They think I couldn't be so foolish to bluff on certain hands, and as a result, I keep them on their toes.
Yeah, sure I still lost over and over again.
But at least it happened quickly and painlessly!

wait until you're on a beginner's streak then they'd be really confused!
hope you are feeling better now.
My husband recently taught me too. I play the same way. He calls me an "elephant." (he is playing the World Series of Poker Circuit Event later this month)
