Early Surprise

Hey, everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA for several weeks now.

But I have a good excuse!

Our little one decided to make his appearance five weeks early.

We were very surprised when my water broke in the middle of the night at only 35 weeks. It was just like in the movies!

So far, so good. He is cute and precious and little.

Life is a bit crazy these days. I am up around the clock. But everyone says this time will pass quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby!!!
Congratulations! 35 weeks... that means NICU time, doesn't it? I hope everyone is healthy and recovering.
(And don't feel bad if you aren't totally ecstatic over your new baby all the time... it is REALLY HARD especially that first 8 weeks or so when you're feeding around the clock and not sleeping. Then the baby starts sleeping more and smiling at you, and it gets so much better!)

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! I hope any NICU time was brief! He looks quite good there on the scale, though, so I'm guessing he's doing just fine! Here's to all three of you being home safe, sound, and well (and not getting any sleep).

Congratulations and welcome to the preemie club. Though these days, 35 weeks counts as fully baked.

May you get at least a little sleep here and there.
