I got this email today:

My name is Sophie. I am a very pretty 34 year old blonde MILF with a great body (I work out every day)

Don't get me wrong, I am married and I won't try to hide it.

My husband however has been going on way too many business trips. Not sure what to believe anymore.

Life is pretty boring at home. I miss having the fun I had in college and before getting married.

We live closeby it looks like and chances are we've even seen each other. I know, it's pretty crazy.

This is a private and very secure place to meet people while still in a relationship. Be assured that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas !

I'm not sure that I'm exactly Sophie's target audience.  Should I write back to her and tell her that?

Post-Election Roundup

Hi, everyone!

Well, I'm glad to report that my family and I survived Hurricane Sandy, the Presidential Election and the Nor'Easter.  What a week it's been!

I did my civic and patriotic duty, and I voted on Election Day.  It's never far from my mind the sacrifices that many women before me made, so that I could vote!

On that vein, I have two photos to share.

The first is one of a suffragette in England in 1910 getting beaten up by cops as she is protesting her lack of right to vote.

Pretty powerful stuff.

It should give us pause.  Whenever you are tempted to be cynical about voting or our elective process, think of what many were willing to do just to cast a ballot in the ballot box.

The second photo one I saw today online.

I admit I stared at this photo for about 10 minutes, mesmerized.

To me, this photo conveys a lot of information.  Most importantly, how we have so much more in common than not.  Something to think about.

THIRTYSOMETHING (!!) year old Asian American New Yorker, lawyer, amateur musician, curious girl taking a bite out of the Big Apple. Don't mess with me - I'm short and I look demure, but I carry a big purse. And I've just embarked on the journey of married life in Manhattan.
